Marketing for roofing companies

Build a clearer path from a homeowner's roofing search to a qualified inspection or estimate request.

The constraints

What makes this trade difficult.

  • 01

Repair and replacement inquiries need different treatment

A small leak, a planned replacement and a commercial roofing project differ in value, urgency and the information needed to qualify them.

  • 02

    Coverage must match crew capacity

An inquiry outside the area you can reliably serve adds travel and estimating work without helping the schedule.

  • 03

    Trust comes before an inspection

Homeowners need clear information about your process, recent work and what to expect before inviting someone onto their roof.

The playbook

What actually works here.

  • 01

Separate the services people search for

Give repair, replacement and any commercial services their own useful pages, aligned with the work you actually provide.

  • 02

Connect local visibility to credible proof

Keep business details consistent, show real projects and make the inspection process understandable across search, website and social profiles.

  • 03

Measure the path past the inquiry

Track qualified conversations, inspections, estimates and accepted jobs so campaign decisions reflect the work the business can deliver.

More calls is the wrong goal

A roofing company that doubles its call volume and keeps the same close rate has mostly bought itself more driving.

The number that pays is accepted jobs per estimator-hour, and the gap between the two is qualification. A leak repair, a planned replacement and a commercial re-roof are three different sales with three different values, three different timelines and three different reasons to pick you. Marketing that treats them as one bucket sends your estimator to quote a $600 repair ninety minutes away, which is a cost disguised as a lead.

So the first job is separating them — in the searches you buy, on the pages people land on, and in the questions the inquiry form actually asks. The second is making sure the ones worth driving to get answered inside five minutes.

What to look for when you hire one

Most of what goes wrong between a roofing company and a marketing company is decided before anyone starts work. Four things are worth asking about on the first call, whoever you end up hiring:

Whose accounts are these? Your Google Ads account, your Business Profile, your website, your lead data. If they live inside an agency’s account, the history and the conversion learning leave when you do. Ours are created in your name with us granted access, and that is not a concession — it is the only arrangement that makes sense for you.

What counts as a conversion? If a page view or a click-to-scroll is set as a conversion, Google optimises toward it, the dashboard looks excellent, and nothing happens on your phone. Conversions have to be real inquiries.

Who else in roofing do they work with? An agency running four roofers in one metro is bidding against itself with your money. We take one client per trade, per service area, which is the whole reason the question is safe to ask us.

What are they measuring past the inquiry? Calls are easy to report. Inspections booked, estimates issued and jobs accepted are the ones that tell you whether the spend worked. If nobody is tracking those, nobody can tell you which channel to cut.

Our guide to choosing a roofing marketing company goes through the rest of it, including the contract terms worth refusing.

Put the right roofing job at the center of the plan

We start with the roof types, services and locations you actually cover, plus the inspection capacity sitting on your calendar. A campaign that fills a schedule you cannot staff is not a win, and a service area drawn wider than your crews can profitably reach is the most expensive setting in the account.

Build useful roofing service pages

A roofing website should explain what you do, how the estimate process works and how someone takes the next step. Where you provide distinct services, repair, replacement and commercial work deserve clear explanations and relevant project examples.

We use your real photos, approved customer feedback and verified business details. Credentials and warranty terms belong on the site only when accurate for your company. A visitor should understand the scope without encountering promises about an insurance outcome or a project result that nobody can guarantee.

Website design provides that structure when a rebuild is needed. Website management keeps the project examples and service information current afterward.

Improve the organic search foundation

Local SEO connects crawlable service content, descriptive page titles, internal links and consistent business information. Google Business Profile management supports the local presence for an eligible business with accurate categories, service areas and current details.

We build location content where your work and knowledge support a useful page. Listing a city is not a substitute for a real presence or a reason to invent an office. Organic progress should be assessed through relevant searches, qualified inquiries and the pages those prospects visit.

Use advertising for a defined job and service area

Google Ads can target people actively searching for the roofing services you offer. Campaigns should separate the work you want and exclude irrelevant searches, such as employment or supplies when those are not your business.

Meta Ads can introduce the company through project material and useful explanations. Organic social media management helps maintain that evidence between campaigns. Both need a clear destination and a specific next action.

Track inspections and accepted work

The first inquiry is the beginning of the process. Track whether the person is in your service area, whether an inspection is booked, whether an estimate is issued and whether the job is accepted. A source that generates fewer qualified opportunities can be more useful than one generating many unsuitable requests.

Questions

Roofing — common questions.

Clear answers before anyone asks you to make a decision.

Ask something else
Should a roofing company start with SEO or Google Ads?

Start by checking your website, service area, capacity and follow-up process. SEO supports long-term search visibility, while ads can reach existing searches once campaigns launch. The right sequence depends on your current visibility, budget and ability to turn inquiries into inspections.

Can you guarantee roofing leads or Google rankings?

No. Search demand, competition, your offer and sales process affect results. We define the work, track meaningful customer actions and adjust around qualified inquiries and booked work rather than promise a ranking or lead count.

Do you work on residential and commercial roofing marketing?

We can scope marketing around the services you actually provide. Residential repair, replacement and commercial work need distinct messaging, qualification and landing pages rather than one campaign treating every roofing inquiry alike.

Do you sell shared roofing leads?

Our service is marketing for your business through your website and accounts. The strategy focuses on direct inquiries and a follow-up process you control, with scope and fees agreed before work begins.
